J.H. Soeder
J.H. Soeder (born 1951) is an American artist and author. He was born in Phoenix, Arizona, United States. Soeder's first non-fiction book, “True Tails” received two national book awards. He then went on to write two other non-fiction books, “Fingers in the Light” and “Haddie’s In Our Closet.” He was also listed by the Organic View’s Radio Show as having written one of the best books of 2011. “Haddie’s In Our Closet”, an autobiographical ghost story, was a finalist in Foreword Reviews 2012 Book of the Year awards. In 1976 Soeder ran in the Liberty Torch Race, now the World Harmony Run, a 24-hour-a-day, nonstop, relay covering all 50 states to mark the United States Bicentennial.〔()〕 ==Miami public art== In 1977 Jon Soeder graduated from University of Miami with a Fine Arts and Bachelor of Science degree. Soeder's mural work can be seen all over the University of Miami. To commemorate the 50th anniversary of University of Miami, Soeder created a three part mural. Soeder's first work was on the patio of the Student Union. Soeder was then asked to design the walls of the entrance to the pool. In addition, Saga Foods had Soder paint the major cafeterias on campus with colorful designs, native flowers, and landscapes. Soeder later installed graphics and murals all around Miami's Coconut Grove and South Miami neighborhoods.
